UPDF kills 27 ADF rebels in DR Congo

The Uganda People’s Defense Forces under Operation Shujaa have killed 27 Allied Democratic Forces rebels in eastern DR Congo. An army statement said the rebels were killed after fierce fighting on Monday in the jungles of DR Congo. The army said 40 abductees, mostly women and children were also rescued from the terrorists. Uganda police stakes sh20m for terrorists behind city bombs

KAMPALA: Uganda’s joint security forces have placed a sh20m stake for whoever will provide information leading to the arrest of two suspects behind the two explosives, which went off in different parts of Kampala at the weekend. The Joint Anti-Terrorism Task Force of CMI, ISO, CT and CI have put up a serious manhunt for two notorious ADF suspects, for their alleged roles in a series of terror attacks. UPDF gunships devastate big ADF camp in DRC

KAMPALA: The Uganda People’s Defense Forces gunships have attacked a big camp of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), leaving it devastated. According to President Yoweri Museveni, the attack happened on Saturday at least 60km from Ntoroko inside DRC. “This is to inform you that today, the 21st of October, 2023, we paid a serious visit to the ADF terrorists in Congo. Our gunships attacked a big camp of these criminals, 60km from the border, Ntoroko side,” Museveni said. Tourists killed in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Security teams are persuing suspected ADF rebels, said to have killed two foreign tourists and a Ugandan in Queen Elizabeth National Park today.  Police spokesman Fred Enanga confirmed the incident, saying the suspected rebels thereafter torched a land cruiser belonging to Wild Gorilla Safaris registration number UBF 303C. “We have registered a cowardly terrorist attack on two foreign tourists and a Ugandan in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The three were killed, and their safari vehicle burnt. Our joint forces responded immediately upon receiving the information and are aggressively pursuing the suspected ADF rebels,” Enanga said. Ugandan military fighter jets hit three ADF targets in Congo

KAMPALA: Uganda's president Yoweri Museveni has said the country's military fighter jets hit three targets of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) terrorists in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). A press statement from State House on Thursday said the air ride by the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) bombers was carried out on Wednesday. "Our fighter- bombers paid another visit to the terrorists, quite some distance inside Congo, in the Mambasa territory area.
