BREAKING NEWS: Video emerges as more than 20 Congolese killed in boat accident

Around 23 bodies have been recovered and 40 people rescued following a boat accident on Lake Kivu, Colonel Molatelo Motau of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) mission in Democratic Republic of Congo said on Thursday. A video (above) appeared to show the two-deck boat tilting sideways before capsizing in calm waters. A local migration authority said that around 45 males and 35 females were registered as passengers, adding that those figures were not definitive and ages were unavailable.

UPDF gunships devastate big ADF camp in DRC

KAMPALA: The Uganda People’s Defense Forces gunships have attacked a big camp of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), leaving it devastated. According to President Yoweri Museveni, the attack happened on Saturday at least 60km from Ntoroko inside DRC. “This is to inform you that today, the 21st of October, 2023, we paid a serious visit to the ADF terrorists in Congo. Our gunships attacked a big camp of these criminals, 60km from the border, Ntoroko side,” Museveni said. The attack was devastating because it was a clear target and the reconnaissance plane, was monitoring from the air.
