Two Remanded Over Namulanda Land Dispute
KAJJANSI. Ssembuze Elly and Miyingo Vicent were arraigned before the Kajjansi Chief Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges stemming from a land dispute incident in Namulanda Ward, Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District. The arraignment was conducted by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit in coordination with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). The two individuals have been charged with offenses related to destruction of property and theft. They were remanded to custody until May 26, 2025, as investigations into the matter continue. According to court submissions, the charges are linked to an incident that occurred around midnight on April 6, 2025.
