Karimojong woman beats man into coma over asking for sex

KARAMOJA. A 30-year-old man in Nakapiripirit district, northern Uganda has been hospitalized in critical condition at Tokora health center IV after being severely beaten into a coma when he made advances towards a woman. Joseph Aleper, a resident of Acherer trading centre in Moruita sub-county, encountered trouble on Thursday afternoon when he propositioned a woman named Evelyne Napakol, also a resident of the area, for sexual relations.  Napakol allegedly rejected Aleper's advances, leading to a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation. During the altercation, Benna Akol, a friend of Napakol, joined the fight and severely beat Aleper into a coma. Kyabazinga wedding suit: Things turn against lawyer Mabirizi but he remains defiant

Controversial lawyer Male Mabirizi has vowed to defy police summons requiring him to appear before the criminal investigations department (CID) over his recent bigamy case against Busoga king William Nadiope. "I will not attend because the takeover of my criminal case by Jinja resident state attorney was premature and unconstitutional which will be set aside," said Mabirizi. Mabirizi last year on November 20 instituted private prosecutions against Kyabazinga, his wife Jovia Mutesi and some of the people who witnessed his wedding on November 18, 2023.
