“Everyone who spent nights in the cold at Namugongo is not happy with Mzee (Commandant Military) for carrying away their allowances.” These were words from a source in the Military police circles in reference to reports that a section of soldiers and police were not happy after working tirelessly during the Martyr’s Day celebrations. Makindye military police Corporal kills self after shooting lover dead

KAMPALA: A soldier attached to Makindye Military Barracks has killed himself after shooting his lover who died on her to hospital. Police said the two lovers had developed a conflict which could have led to the fatal Tuesday morning incident. Below is the full statement by the police. Luke Owoyesigyire: "The territorial police in Katwe have registered an incident of murder and suicide that occurred today, the 20th of February 2024. According to preliminary investigations, the incident involved Corporal Andebo Collins, a military police officer attached to Makindye Military Police, and Atulinda Peroni, a civilian support staff also with the military police.
