Deputy RDC Gomba Remanded Over Land
KAMPALA. The Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Gomba, Mugenyi Vicent has been remanded until June 5, 2025, following his appearance before the Anti-Corruption Court. The case stems from an investigation carried out by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). Mugenyi Vicent faces charges related to abuse of office, as well as allegations involving the irregular processing of land documents during his tenure as a cartographer between 2016 and 2017. The court heard that activities in that period led to overlapping land titles in Gomba District.
