Tayebwa vows to engage EU on unfair trade restrictions after being elected to bureau of OACPS

LUANDA, ANGOLA— Uganda's Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa has been elected member of the bureau to represent East Africa to the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS) - European Union General Assembly.  Tayebwa was elected during the 64th session of the OACPS Parliamentary. Assembly and Constitutive Sessions of the OACPS-EU Joint Parliamentary Assemblies happening in Luanda, Angola, between 17 – 21. Back off, Tayebwa tells government over condoms for 15-year-old girls

KAMPALA – The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Thomas Tayebwa, has stepped in to clip a new plan by the Health ministry officials to allow girls aged aged 15 to use condoms, implants, birth control pills and other family planning methods. Tayebwa on Tuesday gave his side of the coin in response to a matter raised by Lucy Akello, the Amuru District Woman MP, who questioned the draft policy on contraceptives for young girls.
